    Default need help with 97 spyder GS

    Ok, ive got a few questions, if you can answer any THANK YOU.

    Everybody knows its notoriously hard to boost a 4g64, whats the easiest/cheapest way? will a OEM turbo kit off a GST work?

    Where is a good place to buy parts for this car?

    is a 2.0L engine swap possible? or worth it? i've thought about it since parts are easier to find.

    know a site to get OEM interior parts? random things like rear speaker cover and such.

    where can i find aftermarket internals to fit it? (cam,cam gears, crankshaft, head gaskets)

    Im looking to have a good enough car to take to Friday night drags at AMS by Next year.

    i thought the eclipse gs came with a chrysler 420a?

    The compression ratio is lower in a gs-t (boosted) than it is in a gs (NA)... There are a few places to get a turbo for a 4g64 but I believe it would be a good idea to change out a few things in the motor first... I believe there is a thread about it somewhere. If I run acrossed it I'll post it up.

    You can swap a 4g63 into a 4g64 spyder. But why? Just keep the 4g64 and start saving money to get a eprom ecu and other turbo stuff you will need.

    Once you have that 2.4L turboed. You can convert it to awd and really have fun!

    I'm not going to pretend like I know too much on the 2G eclipses, but I'm going to assume it can't be any harder or more expensive to turbo the 2G's 4g64 as it is the 3G's 4g64. Even if the mounting is different, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard at all to get different/custom piping to fit the many 3G turbos out on the market. The turbos for the 3G RS/GS platforms have turned out very good numbers for pretty reasonable builds and prices. I know plenty of third generation owners putting out ~150whp with some of their relatively easy and reliable builds.

    I've decided to sell it anyways, parts are too expensive.

    Im going for a 240, 300, or....dare i say...a honda.

    I thought about a WS6, but i can't afford gas, lol.
