Default What ECU is this in my Civic

We found out that my Brother in laws Civic was an orignal VTEC civic by pulling the VIN number. Somewhere along it's life the VTEC was traded for a 1.5L which made the car a dog. Now we have the great task of correcting this issue. What we don't know is if the ECU is the correct VTEC ECU or not.
Can someone identify this ECU for us?
The only numbers on the ECU are
    37820-P06-A02
    740-801838
Jan 25th 1995 is the date on the side of it as well.
Let me know as soon as possible, we are dropping the new(er) Vtec in today and want to know what changes might need to be made while we are dropping it in. In otherwords, do we need a different ECU.

    Thanks for the help guys

p06 is the middle # that Identifies the type of computer. you have a PO6 non v-tec, if it was a p28 it would be v-tec a highly coveted computer. So yes, you need a p28 for that swap. Auto zone has a great motorswap book that details everything you need to know about doing a swap correctly. (With mad pics too) ...You'll need this book....

Ok, well the motor's in. The only thing we had a issue with was the distributor is different than the 1.5L SO my B-inlaw went and bought one. We should be installing that tonight and all we need now is to wire up the VTEC plugs into the harness and buy the correct ECU.
