if you're goona do it yourself, the b16 would be a direct bolt in. If you get a b18, you gonna have to change the driver side mount along with the transmission bracket for a 99-00 SI, and for 3000, its gonna be though. b16 is your best route for money but lest best for power.

GSR(B18C) would be your best bang for the $. Ls/vtec or b20/vtec would be your next choice... but those take a good bit off money to be reliable.

a 8.0L V-10 would be a sick ass swap. But if your thinking along the lines of hondas, I love the H22 swap. It's being done less and less.

Dude, just buy a GSR b18c($2600=motor and tranny) and then save for a turbo kit. You will never be satisfied with a N/A honda. Just don't exceed 250whp and it will be a realiable DD.

My buddy has a h22 hatch n/a running a 13 flat on street tires.....I think thats pretty fast. Then with his 55 shot he runs mid 12's on street tires.

Why would think it was slow? If he had a front mount that would be a dead give away.

^^^ Only if you could see the front mount. Could always paint it black or something... I would go with an H22 though. Just because you would have a decently quick car with no power adders that could possibly take away from reliability...
