honda mass produced their heads , all from the same mold , non vtec motors have that piece blocked off , vtec motors have that piece cut out for the vtec solenoid(sp)

yeah you can even see in your pic nothing goes there.. thats where the vtec solenoid would go if you had vtec

All this information is wrong. The vtec selonoid doesn't even look like that???????? It is for the EGR valve.
