Default S14.5 fenders: where to cut and weld?

I'm in the middle of an S14.5 conversion right now and am stalled out because the conversion fenders I have are garbage and I need new ones. I have a pair of OEM S15 fenders and I hear you can cut and weld them to S14 fenders to make conversion pieces. The trouble is I don't know where to make the cuts, and when I've asked other message boards I get conflicting answers, mostly, it seems, from teenagers who have no idea what they're talking about.
Does anyone on here have personal experience with making these conversion fenders or pictures of the finished welded product?

this one is for the S13, but the main idea is to get the bottom of the s14 fender so you still have the body line.

Also, read this thread from NICO. It will help you a lot.
