That pesky steering knuckle!!
Can't figure out how to COMPLETELY tighten those nuts with the cotter pins in them, because the bolts im trying put them on keep SPINNING with the nut!
Its basically the one thats on the steering knuckle that i neeed to tighten cuz its making my steering vibrate cuz its not tight enough on there.
you probably stripped the threads...the nut shouldn't be spinnin...you might want to rethread.

if you use an impact gun the bolt wont spin , i had to do that a few weeks ago
no, it doesnt spin and its not stripped. its like, i continue to tighten the nut onto the threads but the threads start spinnin too which makes for no more tightening.Originally Posted by gsrteg

i know exactly what you are talkin about , the bolt you are puttin the "castle nut" on keeps spinnin sfter the nut gets to a certain point

Its been a while since I have messed with the suspension on a Honda, but I will offer some sound advice anyways. If the ball joint faces upwards (meaning the threads are on top of the joint), simply apply pressure from beneath. I usually use a jack to hold pressure on the bottom center of the ball joint.

u talkin about the ball join that goes into the lower control arm or the ball joint on the tie rod end.
