    Default ECU code 43 help?

Problem: My check engine light comes on when Im driving and my car starts to sputter and wants to shut off, then I shut the car off and restart it and the check engine light goes off.I check the code and it reads as code 43 which is the Fuel Supply System defective or malfunctioning fuel supply system. Now what could be causing this probelm... could it be the fuel pump? Any help would be great thanks in advance. By the way the car is a 93 civic lx.

P.S. I have already cahnged the fuel filter

O2 sensor, a short or replace the ecu , if you have a JDM ecu they only use a 1 wire o2 sensor, or if your ecu is looking for a 4 wire but you have a 3 wire o2 sensor signal , or someone tried to wire a 1 wire sensor harness too a 4 wire o2 sensor either or check sensor by ohming it out, an checking for resistence, an checking your output signal wire, ground, 12v battery , if everything is good then check your ecu
