I did my own. check sig. It's not that hard homey. All you need is a drill and a measuring tape. MEASURE A LOT. dont rush.

rent one from HD, but to have a reputable shop JUST install hood pins is gonna take awhile. Most the shops are busy with big projects and have a waiting line.

ever done cf....if I had CF i prob wouldnt drill holes in it. Search google, i am sure there is a write up about it. The reason I wouldnt do CF is b/c it can fray and start pulling apart. Maybe there is a chemical or glue you can apply to the hole that will hold it together.

yes. put the stock latch on there.

do not take your car to a shop to put hood pins on.

a big strap across the hood will work. I do know what u mean, those CF hoods like to flex (cheaper ones). If you get a Siebon (sp) those things are very strong but expensive.

my stock latch looks like its welded onto the hood. either way the one on the cf hood is almost an exact macth. i still wouldnt trust it just cuz of how light it is. i think ime gonna rent a drill and try not to screw up my hood.

if u do your own drilling, do it slowly. step up bits slowly. and take in account the bend of the hood (angle) b/c you need to drill in that angle or in the angle of what u will be mounting the pins to. I will try to get pics of mine for you.

installed the hood. the pins were the easiest parts i spent 3hrs trying to get the hood to latch. and 30 mins installin the hood pins. drilling into the carbon fiber was alot more forgiving than i thought. thanks fr the help
