The intercooler is like $700, the turbo is probably $700, the ECU is like what $500 or something, the exhaust is probably near $500, the manifolds aren't cheap.
That sounds like a couple thousand to me just in those parts alone.

Yea, and my car is actually running pretty good right now. Still running really rich, but the clutch isn't slipping as bad right now. Although my throttle is sticking...which always sucks.
But as for this girls EVO. I'd love to see it on the street, but I doubt anyone will and if they do it won't have those mods.
It looks like she just went to xs engineerings website and started naming off mods for the EVO. I mean hell she doesn't think it could cost a few grand for those mods. It'd probably cost over 6k for all that shit.

So with the parts I found, we're running a grand total of: $5037, not including the intake manifold, turbo, and injectors (I'd guess probably 1000cc).
Indeed Matt, you are right. It has to be over 6 grand in parts, the turbo alone is probably close to a thousand. Not adding in labor and tuning, which would probably push the job to over the $10k mark.

dunno if it's been said yet... but i think she ordered that crap from "XS Power", which i believe is totally separate from the real xs engineering company. so she probably paid about a buck fifty for all of those parts and 90% of them will break in a week's time. those xs power turbos rock, especially when compressor housing separates because it's epoxied together.
