    Default engine swap?

I just bought a 1997 Honda Civic DX. It has somewhat high mileage, but I want to swap for something faster and preferably VTEC. Any suggestions, considering price (purchasing and installing)? Thanks

well if you are worried about price just buy you a replacement d-series motor such as the d16y8 since you want vtec and build it up. you can get plenty of power out of the sohc for less money than swaping in a B, H, or K motor. D-SERIES!!!!!

    B18C1 FTW. DOHC fo LYFE

Fuck stance. Stance is for kids in skinny jeans with Justin Beiber haircuts. You don't need stance when you got swagger.

vtec D= less than a $1000 limited output

B18b= $1800 she lova da boost

B16= $2000 she like da boost to

B18c1= $3200 great for any way you want to go n/a or boost

H22= $2200 LOTS of stock power but a ***** to swap

If you decide to stay d KEEP your Y7 put a Y8 intake manifold on it and I/H/E with a bisi cam and you can have plenty of fun for under a grand

Go with ole faithful (B16) I've never heard anyone complain (other than torque) about it.
