    Default HELP lowering my RSX

Ill just get to the point.

I was lowering my car today, first timer. So i lower the front with no problems, and it came out looking nice. Than i go to the rear suspension, and ohhh boy. The screw thats holding the schock wont come out. I tried everything, i even had cut one side of the screw to try and pop it out on the other side. But nope that didnt work either, the screw looks as if its welded.

So yea, tomorow ama have to go to a shop and see if they can get the screws out.

    Yes, im pissed.

there aren't any screws holding the shocks in... theres problemo numero uno.

anyways, is it the bolt at the bottom of the shock? if you are trying to take the nut off, i believe it IS welded, take the bolt itself out and you should be good to go.
    Who knows?

^^i meant to say the bolt thats holding the schock. i had cut the bolt on one side, and still would not pop out, im guessing the other side IS welded.

Now im driving with my front lowered 2.5 inches and rear as normal height.

You don't need to cut the bolt from the shock. Take out the bolt from the bottom of the shock, take out the 2 nuts of the shock from the rear thats holding on to the frame of the car and make someone step on the rotor to remove the shock since theres a lot of pressure from the rear LCA and the shock. You can also check for DIY's on clubrsx.

Thats the problem im having, i cant unscrew the bolt. It is like welded.

Ill give 50 bucks who takes the 2 screws out tomorow. i already have another set ready to put in.

Spread the word, 50 bucks who takes the 2 bolts out at the bottom of the shock.

    But gotta be tomorow early.

1000 ft.lbs impact... or heat the bolt with a torch, but shield the gas tank... that is of course if you didn't cut the bolt head side off... but you could always cut both sides off and get a punch and a hammer and knock it out if you did....

ywa i had cut one side of the bolt, and i took a big screw driver, and a slash hammer, and was hitting as hard as i could at the bolt. But the thing didnt even want to move at all.

What the problem is, is that other side of the bolt is welded. And i cant get enough room to cut it without rasing a car abouve my head.

one of the bolts looked as if someone tried to unscrew the bolt, but they failed(like i did today)

But the other bolt was untouched, and same story. One side of the bolt is welded, and it pissed me off.

Cus i tought i was almost done*cus rear suspension in half of work than front), than that **** came in and ruined my day.

and this one at the bottom once you loosen this bolt should come out, there is a nut on the other side that is welded onto the strut but it shouldnt interfere.

I solved the problem, car is lowered now. Once i got the car above me, and had a better view, it was all good from there.
