b16 block with a p72 head?! That would be retarded, GS-R heads can't breath like a b16/b18c5. Higher compression isn't always better if the head doesn't flow well.

you got me all wrong bro..reading comprehension owns j00! it was just something i noticed. i was not reccomending it all...jeebus you guys need to calm it down a bit! let me make it more clear.....i made an observation that that combo made a slightly higher c/r. i found it interesting so i shared. you guys dont need to try and prove your uber elite internal combustion engine knowlege to me.

Then use a b16/b18c5 head slightly milled or a thinner head gasket or a taller piston and have way more than 10.6:1...the GS-R head sucks, sure it's a higher compression but its smaller valves and does not breath as well.

hey guy..it was an observation. im not trying to sway the honda world into building a motor like this. i am very aware of how to raise and lower compression. give it up already. cant a man make an observation without all the vtak boys jumping through hoops to make a point? i never said a gsr head was good..where do you kids come up with this ****? its like you read what someone says and in your mind you change it to somehting that you can argue about....i dont get it.

But doesnt the p72 head have the flat edges on on the combustion chamber which reduced risk of detonation?

If the P72 combustion chamber is flatter and a few cc's smaller don't you think that would increase detonation?

As long as premium fuel is being used the chances of detonation on a stock GS-R/ITR is slim to none anyways.

I think what i was thinking of is called "quench pads" maybe?

I know Mike (Vteckidd) said GSR heads were better for that reason, but im not sure. From what reading ive done, the GSR will make a lil better mid-range compared to the pr3's top end. Im not saying your wrong Speedminded, was just asking about the specific detail on the p72's.
