Pulling the bulb or wire for the MIL light won't work anyways, as part of the test is whether or not that MIL light turns on properly or not. If it doesn't, it's an automatic fail. Actually, getting that MIL lightbulb replaced on some cars is more expensive than a good deal of other emissions related repairs, but you have to have it.


This emissions nonsense as a requirement for getting a tag is for the birds. Do you have any family you could title the car under along with yourself who live outside the 13 metro counties? For example, Bartow county? That gets you out of the emissions test nonsense entirely.
