Default Is this my Wheel Bearing?

Yesterday when I was driving to ga from FL. I noticed a constant humming noise from the drivers side fron wheel, that changed pitch and loudness with speed. No crazy vibrations or pulling, just a constant humming. I'm not in atlanta just yet and I dont have access to any tools here.

Does it sound like a wheel bearing? I'm going to check the tire right now.

it sounds like it...does it change noise or get louder when you turn the wheel?

be careful with those front/rear noises. if it is your wheel bearing, they can be very elusive as to where the noise is coming from....
if it is the wheel bearing, the pitch/noise should change when you make a turn at speed. try to slalom while the noise is occuring (light slalom)

bingo, if you do a swerving type movement most wheel bearings will change its tone. if it stays constant it may be a tire noise or something else.
