actually there is a reason to leave it in gear. to avoid having it roll down, etc. also if they wanted to tow it (lets say stole it) they can just jack the rear and you can roll it. now if you have it on gear and parking brake you can't roll it in any direction.

I have had remote start on everyone of my cars for the past 10 years, only because i was an installer and knew how to make it work, if there is even the slightest chance it will accidently make it into gear then get started dont do it..

just wondering... if the e brake is on and what not... wont the car just stall out?... or will it increase RPM as it sees it dropping?? i have no clue... my friend had one in his prelude on a manual he needed something called a clutch bypass or somethin,

lol, sounds almost technical...manual transmission cars in the last 15 years or so have had a small switch on the clutch pedal to keep it from starting without the clutch being depressed...a simple jumper wire and a little solder will solve that.
