    Default need hekp finding v6 2.5 swaped mx-3

    Hey im new too mazdas so I need your help well I just bought a swaped v6 2.5 mx-3 for 750$ but something is wrong with it first it sounded like it was running on 5 cylinders but next day it wants too start but it doesnt I think it might be the dizzy but ill check it better tomorrow but well the header cracked on it and I was gonna ask I want a after market header but dont know where to find one...I found one on ebay but its for a mazda 626 V6 2.5 do you think those will fit???...well hit me up thanks.

    ill post some pics later but I think it was mx34life's car the car is black now sitting on all gold dr20's the car came with the wheels too they are 16x7 with new tire alone the wheels are 600$ so I basically got the car for 100 bux do you guys think it was a good investment???

    but here is how it used to look oh and I need a lip for it I dont know what the guy did with the one it had...

    I'm pretty sure all the KL series engines will fit, regardless if it came out of a 626/MX-6, Probe, or non-S Millenia.

    It's a good investment,and any 626/MX-6, Probe, or non-S Millenia will work,some just got a different intake manifold!!!It could have a bad dizzy or it may have jump timing!!!!Pm mx34life on the car!!!I've got 2 mx3's with a 2.5v6 under the hood

    Well I got the car to run because my dad bought a 626 but it is his spare car and it sits like 4 acers way back I thought it was a camry or sumthing but wellback to the point.The 626 is a v6 5spd so I took the dizzy of so I could drive the mx3 and it ran good till I started getting on it and at high rpms it sometimes sputters but sometimes it doesnt . The car smoked like hell when I first turned it on and then after a few good revs no more clouds I guess from sitting too long...this car only really needs some TLC so ill hit you guys up real soon so I can get this thing on the street asap...oh I forgot to mention and the drivers side front wheels something is scrubbing but I dont see any thing thats hitting or too close well thanks for the info guyz...

    For headers, you can use the ford probe/mx6 2.5v6 headers, get them off ebay there about 150, You will have to have the cat moved back about 4-6" no big deal. As for the disty problem, Mazda's internal distributors are the worst, dont waist your money on buying a new one if you can. The easiest mod is called the Blaster/HEI mod, It'll cost you about 50 bucks and will deliver more power and you will have a more reliable setup. Basically what it does is turn your internal coil distributor into an external coil setup. You remove the Coil and the ignitor out of the distributor, and replace them with aftermarket ones. Your distributor will run forever, and it will improve the poor power than the original coil provided. cost about 50-100 to do depending on which manufacturers you use.

    and Mx34life knows a few things about the mx-3, after all he's done more swaps than mazda put motors into the cars. lol

    Thanks 4 your help everyone I found some info that I needed but the only thing I cant find is a lip for it anyone know a site or has one or sumthing I keep on trying to find one but I cant come across any all I get is pics of them when I search but cant get any info where to get them...anyone??

    Lips are hard to come by you can get them from mazda but you will spend and arm and a leg to get one, infact it would be cheaper to get the mazdaspeed Front end from Corksport

    Man youve changed my plans ill buy that front end instead but whats that all the way back where your side skirt ends??? how much that fornt end cost you???

    ok well there are 2 versions of this kit. The Corksport Mazdaspeed version, and then the Mazdaspeed original, The differnce, about 300 bucks lol. The corksport is identical so most go with it, since theres no difference. The corksport front is 249, and then the sides you see, are the mazdaspeed Sides, and they run 159 yet again there the Corksport knock offs but identical to true mazdaspeed and will save you money.

    Thats Justin's mx-3 from moca, one of the fastest and cleanest mx-3s out there IMO

    No thats the Canadian GS spoiler, you used to be able to get them directly from mazda, but they are sold out in the US. The only way you can get one now is to go onto mx-3.com and look for people selling them. Which there are probably about 5 that sell every month and they go for about 100 bucks so not to bad.

    What corksport sells in the upper hatch shade, i'll see if i can find some pics of it on the car... Here are some more of the wing

    those sides skirts on the green one are the OEM ones, but they are sold out and extremely hard to get

    If i had to suggest the parts to get to make it look sweet, I would go with:
    mazdaspeed Front
    Mazdaspeed Sideskirts with OEM Rear Mud guards
    Canadian rear wing
    Evil Yeti VRS Style hood ( i'm sure someone would say its "rice" but then again they don't know how much heat the K series engine puts off so in this case Form is Function)
    Slim Visors
    German Espec Headlights
    Jspec Mirrors (auto Folding)
    Espec Front Tow Hook
    Smoked tail lights
    Clear espec turn signals
    Shaved antenna
    To lower i would modify Ksport Coliovers for a Ford Probe to fit the Mx-3. Very easy to do and since the only coilovers available for the mx-3 are either ground control sleeves or cheap ebay sleeves this seems to be the best setup for a real coilover setup. The cheaper option is using Ford escort ZX2 (these are made by tokico and are just identical as the aftermarket ones they sale for the mx3 but are way cheaper) and groundcontrol coilover setup with a stiffer spring rate.

    Color wise I'm torn, I think that it would be sick to go with the Mx-3 SE Rasberry Metallic (my old car Avatar Pic) and a nice set of BBS web style rims (flat gold centers, polished lip) probably a 16" or 17" (to be honest, 17s look the best on the car). The other option would go a dark Camo green, with a very light gloss on it (just to protect it) and black bbs web style rims w/ polished lips.

    The closest car i've found that comes to my vision is Vens, car in the Netherlands. he's got two mx3s and both are just extremely nice and clean. his main car:




    Also i like the look of the "sliced" headlights. Gives it a more aggressive look

    If I didn't like my 4 door, I'd have an MX3 right now..... and throw that supposed backseat away. I don't even think my daughter would fit back there, let alone normal sized adults.

    BTW, did the sputtering ever go away?

    K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.

    you know since the car only sputters at full throttle I have not gave it a run after sunday so I dont know yet but it seems to run a lil better.thanks for the help reps...
