i personally like the cbr600 i see to many r6s and gsxr but if i had to choose the order for me it would be 1. cbr 2. gsxr 3. r6 ive ridden all 3 but i like the cbr the most

From the question, its pretty clear that you are a new rider. None of the above. Pay your dues, man.... get your learning and bike drops out of the way on a smaller bike before you step up to a track-ready 600cc supersport. Its much safer (and more fun) that way.

Kawasaki 2008 Ninja 250. MSRP = $3500 That's right, fool... $3500 for a brand spanking new, noob-friendly starter bike.

Ride that for a few months and by then you will be ready to upgrade to the supersport bikes

Besides the starter bike as Tarzanman stated, don't waste money on a GSXR 600 when you can get the 750, because I can assure you that after you get a few months on that 600 you'll want to step up. Just my

I started out on a Ninja 500r then upgraded (somewhat) to a Katana 600 then got a 'Busa. The Ninja 250 is a great deal for the money but I think you'll get tired of it too fast and a 500r is only like $1500 more. A friend of mine got a Ninja 250 and only kept it like 3 or 4 months before he got a GSX-R 600. He said the 250 just wasn't enough power for him.

i bought a 1993 600F2 as my starter bike and am selling it after 5 months....it's called a starter bike because it's not a long term investment...it's somthing you get....learn the roads....learn the basics of riding then you sell it and upgrade...for some people it's 2 months for some its a year...depends how much seat time you get and how quick of a learner you are....there are 600's out there that you can start on like my F2 is not anywhere near a newer supersport style bike but it's still fun to ride around on....but yea as said above pay your dues cause you will drop a bike and it's better to drop an older learner bike than to drop a shiny new 08 just for the sake of looking cool doing it

If you have experience on dirt bikes or any other kind of motorcycle id say just go and hop on a 600 super sport. If you have no experience on any kind of motorcylce id say take the msf course, and if you feel comfortable on the bikes they teach you on just get a super sport. If not get a starter bike. I got a 07 candy red r6 for sale if you want it

You should be able to haggle most of these down to $2500-$3500

I really want to but right now im not in a situation to have a bike so therefore i cant get a r1 and i also have to sell the r6 I ridden my friends r1 and i absolutely love it.

im no stranger to bikes, i rode dirt bikes when i was younger and i kinda still do, have a raptor 660cc 4wheeler now that i go nuts on. so i think i will just jump on a 600 and be fine once i get the hang of it. what years your bike, how much you want and do you have any pics

You will be absolutely fine with a 600 super sport. If you can go balls out on a 660cc atv you should be fine with a 600. My bike is a 07 candy red R6. It only has 3600 miles never been dropped, have a akrapovik full titanium slip on, flip up fender eliminator, intergrated tail light, and after market headlights and auxilary light. Pm me and ill give you my number so you can check it out whenever you want. Always garage kept and on bike stands.

If you are just riding on the street a 600 is fine to start but you will probably want to upgrade quickly. If you go to the track stick with a 600, you'll get better faster. I can't tell you how many times I see people on 750's and 1000's get spanked by under 500cc bikes that aren't even sport bikes. I've got an 04 SV650s with GSXR suspension/brakes and its a perfect compromise for me between track and DD use since it is my DD when its not raining. My next bike will either be an SV1000 or a Ducati 848, depending on which route I chose to go.
