Bill Elliot's shop in Dawsonville, GA.. but i doubt they are going to let you use them
I would try them. My dad used to have a friend with a late-model dirt track car down in Columbus. His motor was built and dyno-tuned by Elliott Brothers engines in Dawsonville (or where ever it is). From what he said, they are cool guys and pretty flexible with engines, so long as you're making power and you've got the money, they should accomadate you.Originally Posted by LS2_KID
Or you could awlays do a chassis dyno and use the old ((Torque x R.P.M.) /(5252)) = Horsepower equation. However, there might be a source of error given the torque would be in WHP, not BHP or flywheel horepower.

BALANCED AND PERFORMANCE>>>i say ED is probably one of the best tuner's here in the east..hes the shiet.

Thanks for all of the great info we have run our ARCA ( 850hp 9500rpm )and BGN ( 750hp 9500rpm ) engines at Hendrick, Evernham and Penske as I have sold and serviced their head machines.
I guess I will start on my own Engine Dyno as soon as we get done with the Superflow Chassis Dyno.
I am really anxious to see some of the Dyno breaking import turbo cars I have heard about, as we are going to be open to some public testing pretty soon as we have been doing private R&D stuff for about 20 years. Our dyno is capable of handling 2500HP and 250MPH. So far after 15 years, the big number is an NHRA Pro-Stock car at 2350 and 220mph. Our ARCA stuff pulled about 815hp at 195mph. Top street car is a 10.5" car that put down 1175 about 3 years ago, now they are well over 1500+.
As soon as the IA folks return our inquiry, we will prolly become a site sponsor as well as doing a couple neat promotional things...
Hoping to see some 500hp hondas real soon.
See ya at Commerce later tonight.
Thanks,
Mark

I think you hit me up about buying one of my ECUs on ebay.
arent you going to be out in Winder?
Sunbelt got bought over by Kinetics Motorsports and they are no longer right across the parking lot from Balanced Performance. They are right down the street and Ed does run both the engine dynoes that Kinetics has set up. If you get in touch w/ Ed Senf through www.dynotuner.net or calling Balanced Performance or Kinetics Motorsports he can help you out w/ whatever you need when it comes to tuning imports(not just hondas).
Quality Perfomance and Fabrication!!
Does 1320 MotorSports have a Dyno?? J/W Cause they built my buddy Kuy's 1200HP AB Flug Supra...
Thanks for all the great info, I will get with Ed, Monday and check our what he has to offer.
After some seroius thought and consideration, I think I am going to build my own inertia engine dyno. I already have a couple of them for Karts so why not.
It is the wave of the future for Cup and F-1 has been using them for a couple years.
We'll just have to save some dollars and git'r'done.
It will just have to wait until I get my flow bench, Serdi machines, Hines balancer and other engine machining equipment moved to Statham from my other shop.
There is just not enough time to get everything done...
Yes Mike, I talked to you about a couple ECU's, still interested just have to build a couple engines first and run them my way and then I'll see about ECU and fuel injection. I am pretty old school and need to get some carb numbers dialed in and then move to injection. What are the biggest injectors for Honda's and what is the support ECU.
Thanks,
Mark
