    Default att. Mr.kid or anyone obd2 trouble.please help

    ok so i got a 98 civic wit a d16y8 in it. it has a trashed bottom end, i have a d15b2 block and head that are good, wat do i have to do to get it to work? i know i need a obd2 single cam non vtec ecu, but will that ecu work wit the d15b2? i have the obd2 dist. and the intake main. and the wiring harness. the biggest thing i have a concern wit is it not beaning able to be emission tested. anyone have any in put wit wat i can do? and if anyone has the ecu i need id gladly trade the vtec ecu. get back to me asap. if anyone wants to help me further than please pm me. thanks...

    bump please.... also edit to the first post. if i want to do i guess wat is called a mini me swap is there any michning that has to be done like wen u do a ls vtec?? lmk asap.. reps go out to whom ever helps!!!!

    no it will not pass emissions because the newer d16 has a crank shaft sensor on the oil pump and the older d15 has the crank sensor in the dizzy. so in short it will have check engine lights

    this is wat your talkin about? im in a bind here, the car im Putin the engine in is for one a 98 civic and it is the owners of the company i work fors car, lol so i got this long block wit his money, and now i just have to get it to work some how...

    dont forget the y8 has a knock sensor and the b2 will not have a spot for it.
