    it is probably a fuel pump cut off switch. it is a good option to have. hitting the swtich turns off your fuel pump. no fuel pump=no gas to the motor.

    well it would be a good way to keep your car from getting stolen. if its a hidden switch, when you go somewhere, just hit it before you get out the car, and if someone tried to steal it, it wont start. see what i mean?

    haha. the previous owner might have had it put in. some have it stock though. hell, maybe all do im not sure. haha my moms 03 explorer has one near the passengers feet hidden behind the kickplate.
