Transmission Help!
I have a S80 transmission that kicks itself out of 5th. i can drive it normal and put it into 5th and release the clutch and it will stay. as soon as i hit the gas it kicks out. do i need new synchros? anyone have a place i could go to check it out. anything will help.
Nope you will need 5th gear also, an bearings, an synchros, and that would cost you about 700-950 to overhaul it, I got a gsr case with b16 gears all new bearings an synchros 700 lmk if i can help
sounds like the detent ball is worn out or the spring for it is not as strong as it use to be. or possibly the shift fork shaft is also worn out.
