    Lightbulb Thinking of getting a DelSol

    Whats up IA??? It's been a while since I asked for opinions but here I go. I a thinking about going and picking up a 93 DelSol Si and I wanted any opinion on the car. Myself I think the car is pretty cool but I still want to know what you guys think. Thanks Bird...

    the delsol is like most other honda's. It has it's postive and negative attributes. Parts are dirt cheap, engine swapping is easy, and they are usually pretty reliable. On the other hand, honda's are probably the most modded car in north america. There are a few members here who drive delsol's.

    i drive one, i like it. hopefully yours doesnt leak from the roof, you dont want to carry more than one other person, you understand that del sols dont have many parts easy to find, there are under 75k del sols made from 93-97. any other Q's ask me.

    another cool thing about them is that the 92-95 civic 93-97 del sol and 94-01 integra suspension are the same in most cases like control arms and struts and springs and some subframes.

    the only problem is the only del sols are the only ones i really see, unfortunately, are the typical ricers, with like 5 colored body kits, and the fake spinners... if u do it right like the few they are tight cars

    yeah im pretty new to the del sol game... got mine about a month or so ago

    i dumped quite a bit of money on it...engine parts are fairly easy to find. but the dealership is going to rape you. interior parts are always missing haha so you'll be at the dealership a lot to get that stuff unless you find a parts car. but most of the interior stuff is fairly reasonable, i mean it will fit perfect and have no blemishes so... w/e its just preference used vs. new.

    the top will leak.

    you'll have to get new weatherstripping and its expensive. so get a lot of old towels to keep around.

    but i love mine and i will have it for a long time to come i hope. plus in the scheme of hondas they are fairly rare and when modded correctly they are super sexy and even more rare. the bulk of del sols you see will be stock.

    but neway thats just a summary of what i think... i love them and they have a lot of potential so use your pallet wisely

    and make sure you post up your pics when you get it ----> MEMBER DEL SOL PICS THREAD!

    I had a del sol back in high school (99-00) and still have front and rear strut tower braces, a brushed aluminum gauge bezel, and an unpainted mid height spoiler with brake light that anyone is welcome to. PM me if you are interested - I'll sell them for crazy cheap, and I mean crazy (If you show up to my door with 10 bucks the spoiler is yours for example).

    Aren't delsols the heaviest out of the eg,ej,eh body style?!? If so, that would be the only negative besides not having a back seat.

    Anyways, if you get it change the game up and throw a sec gen bumper on it!

    according to edmunds...

    eg2 = 2301
    eg6 = 2094

    so you must have had stuff in the trunk, you in it, and some heavy aftermarket wheels or something haha... idk... i trust edmunds, they have become an authority on this kind of stuff.
