    Default Cure time for paint?

My buddy got his truck out of the bodyshop on tuesday. They told him not to wash it for a week and not to wax it for a month. He was asking me if I thought it would be okay to go ahead and wash it now. Does anyone have experience with this kind of thing? If he washes it too early, how will he fuk it up? Thanks in advance.

oh, i forgot to mention, if he washes it, more than likely it will be taken through a drive through wash...what kind of damage can be expected from this?

At the body shop i work at, The day after it is painted I wet sand and buff, and right after that I wash with soap, it's fine, and on waxing it, it should be safe as long as it is CLEAR COAT SAFE!

    AND ALWAYS HAND WASH!!!!

if the body shop has a bake cycle on their paint booth, the paint should be cured by the time they take it out of that booth. THEN it can be waxed right after.
