Make sure don't rice out the civic. Nothing is cheap when comes to performance. Most people start with some bolts on ( H,I,E) with their Honda first.

    A. Performance is not cheap. And if you find cheap performance parts , they are prolly a bad idea.

    B. Since you cant drive it for 2 more years anyway, Save lots of money and do it the right way. Nothing cheap, and don't start projects that you don't know how to do yourself.

Save for the next two years and get a B series engine for it. In the long run thats your cheapest bet. Mods for that engine arent going to do you any good unless you build up the whole motor, and it'd still be cheaper just to get another engine. Good luck hiding from IA police before they ban you for being 14.

14 yrs old?? Save your money, every dime until you're 18 then just do a swap. You'll be a lot happier. Then do your normal bolt-ons(I,H,E).

    Good luck!

Wow, I wish I had a Honda when I was 14. Just do some research on your own and most definitely save your money. Good luck man.

if its a d16z6 i'd stick w/ it. its a good motor to learn on thats what i did, my next car will have a b18 are more powerfull engine. I say a simple i/h/e or air intake/header/exaust. you could do all this for $500 or less if you buy used. a local muffler shop can hook you up for an exaust but please dont choose a tip that makes it sound ricey as ****. But when you can practice, practice, practice your driving. i can tell you 2 totaled car isn't fun. Good luck

For breathing mods to free up horsepower, you first have to have horsepower to free up. I'm not aware of ANY worth while parts combo (even for used, and even for a Civic) that will give you an intake, header and exhaust for $500.

custom exhaust w/ tip from exhaust place is $200
i've got 3 put on from 2 different places and all were $200 or a little under

grand total is $400 for i/h/e

Don't watch fast and the furious and don't mod it. It's a civic you won't make jack **** unless you swap a motor.
