    Default d16y8...What mods really do- check this out

    I always asked what will mods do to my y8...well here is something i thought was pretty cool...might be a repost but this is for everyone asking what will i benafit from throwing I/H/E on my sohc! Enjoy!

    Not to be mean but... why bother?

    For half that much you could add a 35 shot and at least beat a civic si. The only car you could beat with those mods would be a stock version of the same car...

    New car:
    95 S14 with RB25DET (stock boost)

    Old car:
    Turbo S2000 400hp/285tq on 9:1 comp & 11psi

    my friend had gsr fuel rail, gsr injectors, gsr fuel pump and b16 throttle body in his y8 plus the i/h/e dont know how much hp he gain but he smoke gsr's all day

    kinda hard to beleive but im not calling you a liar but it sounds a little far fetch unless for some insane reason your friend beat a GSR with an auto? possible but still ????? idk

    yea i thought the same too...b/c everytime he open the hood it look stock with i/h/e...he took it to the track ran 15.1 with street tires...then after he threw a type r motor into his car i ask him and he finally told me...so thats that

    lolololool None of the stuff you listed will even add any more HP than just the I/H/E. what a noob. The fuel rail, injectors, and fuel pump are only going to pump the same amount as the original stuff, unless he has a chipped or tuned ECU. Even then, he might pick up 1-2whp tops. He may be putting down 120whp at the MOST. A stock GSR puts down around 153-155whp.

    If your friend told you his car would "smoke gsr's all day" you should have bitch slapped him and told him to wake up.

    heres a reference. I had a '98 Ex a few years ago and put down 120 hp (whoopi) with AEM short ram intake, 4-2-1 header, no car, Skunk 2 exhaust, Skunk 2 intanke manifold. and no dude and big heavy 17's.
