What I would do is reset the code and wait for the monitors to reset. OBD II vehicles up to '00 are allowed for 2 monitors not to set. '01 and newer vehicles are only allowed 1 monitor to not set. If you can get ahold of a scanner that can read OBD readiness, I'd pay attention to the all of your monitors. Make sure that your gas tank has at least 1/2 a tank of gas so EVAP can set. I'm pretty sure that the light will come back on later, but it won't come back on imediately. It will be on just long enough to possibly pass emissions. I'd probably do about 3 minutes of driving to be sure that some of the other monitors set. Sometimes they can set right at idle.
