Default got a quick q about a motor swap on a 95 ford escort???

My mom has a ford 95 ford escort and the motor blew.

The body is in great shape and the overall car is in great shape. Just got a new clutch and trans.

Heres the problem I have a person thats wants to sell the running escort with a auto 1.9L but our escort is a manual 1.9L. Is it posable to swap the motor into our escort and use our manual trans? also will everything on the manual car work with the auto motor.

Sorry for the domb Qs I just want to make sure I can do this with as little problems as possable. I can swap it that will be no problem I just want to make sure it will go smooth.

    thanks

    that sounds good.
I just replaced the trans, clutch and axels on it and for a 95 it looks really good. That and my mom bought it new with 70miles on it and now it has 410,000 on the original motor. It was crazy when it blew. Out of nowhere driving along the motor just stoped and smoke came poring out of the car. Pulled over and took a look and theres a rod sticking out of the motor and a huge hole. But I like the car and want it to run again as a back up car for the family.

    thanks

I have done a manual '93 Escort with a 1.9L. Its very easy. The tranny WILL bolt right up to it. I would prefer a motor with an auto tranny to swap into your car. A little less abuse (typically).

The auto escort is a 95 4door and its in ok shape body wise and the motor only has 125,000miles on it and the original owner a 70+ year old woman is selling it. The car has been babyed so The motor is in great shape. She cant drive anymore and its just sitting in her garage. I'll probley go pick it up this month and do the swap in my drive way. cant wait it'll be fun...... I hope.
