Default any b-series tranny swap tips?

im taking the tranny out of my del sol tom. with jacks and jack stands. anyone have any tips or tricks to make my day go a little smoother. or does someone have a good link to a step by step. i think mushroom_toy, JDMjoe86, and myself are going to work on it and mushroom_toy knows quite a bit about it, but i want to have all my duckies in a row so the sol isnt down for the count for more than a day. thanks in advance

I know nothing about del Sol's, but I know you can pull a CB7 Accord's Tranny out through the wheel-well with it up on Jackstands. Here's to hoping it's just as easy for you.

I normally remove all the wiring on the tranny, drain the tranny, pull the axles, remove the starter, remove all the tranny bolts, don't forget the one on the bottom rear going the oppisite way, then remove the passenger side and rear mount bolts. have a jack under the tranny while you are removing the motor mounts. Then lower the jack and it should slide off.

it will most likely be easier to unbolt the shift linkage under the shifter and pull it out with the transmission, because the ***** pin is much easier to remove when you can get a clean shot at it. make sure you have a punch that is the correct size also, because if you use a smaller one and flare the end of the pin out, you are ****ed trying to get it out without being destructive.

that's my tip for the day.
    Who knows?

step 1: remove harness, axles, and bolts.

step 2: installation is reverse of removal.
    Who knows?

    HOLY MOTHER OF JESUS

i got it in but what a pain in the ass! everything that could go wrong went wrong. and when i got it back on the ground my clutch is weird. you have to push it down as hard as you can so that it will get into/out of gears.

oh and we found out that it had ZERO clutch fluid and now it kinda feels like the slave cylinder is out of whack or something, it doesnt move very fast.

but neway, i did get it in and it SUCKED BALLZ, but thanks for everyones help

yeah we did that for about 30 minutes and went through almost a quart of fluid. and it got a little better, but it still has a hard time unless you cram the sh*t out of the clutch. it mostly wants to be a pain in the ass on reverse and first
