Ive used it for RC cars and lights, works well. Make sure you do a few light coats, and make it realllllly even.

What makes you think it's legal?Originally Posted by IOnlyLookStock
Yeah the spray stuff can be hard to get to look even, I would DEFINITELY practice on something. My orange lights are sprayed:

Lamin-x makes tint film.
If you're going to use this stuff, make sure you clean the lenses well, then put a layer of clear coat over it BEFORE the niteshade. Then, do as many even coats of the niteshade you want to get the desired effect. Then clear coat over the niteshade again. Keeps it from dulling, and gives it a deeper effect.

nothing from a spray can will have a deep effect
I think youre full of it, but meh. Believe what you want. I have had great results from spraying lights.Originally Posted by The BUCKY

Well, to be honest Ive never used that particular product, so I dunno maybe it does suck ass (and user error is a factor too Im sure). I always take my time and actually prep the lights, so maybe thats the difference.
If you decide to tint your tail lights, let me know first. I'd like to get them from you.
i used this other brand called TAMIYA it turned out ok

lol along time ago in another thread we established this is not technicaly legal. but most cops wil let it slide unless it is completely unreasonable dark
You know better; next time will be a ban.
you can buy night shades from summit racing its also like 10 bucks
so you're going to spray some VHT onto your lights?Originally Posted by Meso Teggy

VHT makes the sticky track prep stuff, and most people just call it 'VHT'.
btw, I'd like to see some pics of your lights. I did mine the same way on my EP, only I didn't prep them well or clear them and they faded after just a couple of washes, and after a few months of rain and washing it was all but gone.
