    Default H22A vs. B18c series?

Ok guys just wondering what would be the best swap for a 94-96 honda civic hatch. I know the H22 is a bigger motor and has more torque and I know it would be a bit more of a pain to swap but the B18c series are more exspensive and are a bit easier to install and also higher rpm. If I am going to be steet racing I was just wondering what type of swap you would put into the hatch.

    thx

ya, but once the QU33F's turbo spools up and the blowoff releases all that pressure, it's enough to bring a tear to a Viking's eye.

LoL, yall are no help whatsoever . .

but really, a GSR and H22 put down about the same amount of HP if not more on the H22 side, but what really sets them apart is the amount of torque the H22 makes and how fast it makes it. GSR is a higher revving motor and needs to be revved to get power, an H22 has power straight from the getGo. GSR swap is easier and cheaper in most cases, and a H22 swap will/would/should/need custom mounts, some fabrication and knowHow to install the shifter, and a little bit of electrical work. other than all that i duno what else to tell you LoL, but id choose the H22 just because i like fabricating random rinkydink

b18 seems to be the most easily done and has the least problems (ie more reliable)

actually if want more get a K20a but i love b series for the fact that they are actually cheepr than h in more than one way. for the b series you can buy more afte market ad cheepr and you can find more **** for them period also they are aot better to work on internally and yeah b just pwns h or you could get a e series

i would go gsr all day long, but if you do choose the h22, make sure to get the adapter to run a b series tranny. h22 tranny's are ftl. your thread title should be H2b vs B18c. cuz thats the only real comparison IMO. If you plan to heavily modify the engine for NA use, then the h22 may be for you. if boost is in the equation, take the gsr.
