    Default d15b7 vtec probloms....

    hey guys, just wondering the REAL name for this part. i dont know what it is, i just know when i took my valve cover off, checked it all out, this peice was cracked in 2 spots. is it a cam cover or sumthin? here are sum pics. i need to know the exact name for it, and whee i can get a new one FAST bcuz im tryin to get the motor in my EF ASAP!!!!! thanx guys...

    looks like sum1 put to much torque on the bolt causing it to break the peice in 2 spots...

    on all of the torque spec guides they call it a cam holder....

    and as far as getting a new one... i don't think anyone is gunna sell you just that part... you are probably going to have to buy another vtec head unless you just get lucky and find one at a junkyard....

    I've heard people say that they are head specific - can't/shouldn't be machined - etc. Yadda yadda yadda. While there is some validity to it, I replaced one on my B16 - cam caps as well. I have had NO problems. I am sure that you can make a post on here or H-T and get one.
