Are they all the same? Just wonderin cause im about to put an LS in my hatch w/ a B16 Tranny. Which clutch do i use the LS or B16 or are they just the same?
the only differance in any B series clutchs are the cable/hydro tranny through out bearing. so if the clutch is for a cable tranny and u are putting it in a cable tranny ur ok...same thing if its a hyrdo clutch and its going in a hydro tranny.
LIES!
GSR/LS trannies (even if both cable...) some years have different discs...
Get yourself the clutch that matches YOUR TRANNY. NOT your motor...

i work for competition clutch. all B series clutchs use 8026/8027 through out bearings depending on cable or hydro tranny, 3-694 pressure plates and 99785 discsOriginally Posted by EvasiveEF9

his clutch will match his tranny and motor cause what else are u gonna use with a b series motor than a b series tranny?
Former Neon boy knows his Hondas!
HONDA 4 LYFE!!
Then wtf clutch did I get?
I bought a clutch for a cable LS tranny. The disc would NOT fit on the shaft. Hole was too small.
Any guesses?

it could have been a b series with a small spline but his being an EK it has a hydro tranny they all big spline discs. i was mistaken when i said ALL b sesiers discs are the same...ALL b series HYDRO tranny discs are the same.Originally Posted by EvasiveEF9

if its a clutch for a hydro tranny and the clutch is going in a hydro tranny is doesnt matter if its a b18b, b18a, b18c1, b18c5 or b16Originally Posted by bowdown201
as long as the clutch is from a hydro car and its going in another hydro tranny then u are good to go.
on cable tranny they all dont fit cuz i bought an ls clutch before but i was using a ys1 tranny and it didnt fit so i had to buy one for a 92-93 ls the ys1 is a tad bit bigger i'm talking about hole for the clutch disc.....

huh? there's only one Civic that even came with a b-series and that's the 99-00 SI so what would it matter what car or year it was going in?Originally Posted by CH@Dbee
But you're right, all hydraulic B-series should have the same disc while there are at least two differant versions for the b-series cable transmission. Can't remember which one is which though? Maybe the [Y1] B16a is the small spline and the [YS1] B17a1 & B18a1 are larger spline cable transmissions?
the 88-91 B-Series Cable Transmissions (Usually have a gold sticker with black letters) have a different disc than a 92-93 cable transmissions ( white sticker with black letters )..
