    Default How to prime a car??

    I just had a question of what is the best way of primeing out your car. Im not affraid to spend money but i dont wanna bust my wallet.

    Please help.

    Please god don't use spray can primer, and If you don't own a spray gun with the knowledge to mix primer, Just take it to a body shop.

    sand, sand, then wet sand...wash the car, get some rustoleum(sp?) paint from lowes or home depot for 25 bucks get some mineral spirits there as well and mix the two till its a little bit harder to stir than water buy a spray gun for 50$ if you have an air compressor then go to town Id recomend 4 coats

    fill the oil filter up with oil, make sure your oil level is good, and then unplug the coil and crank the car over a few times.... keep doing it for a while to ensure good prime.
