I didn't say the rest of the gears shifted like butter lol, but third gear was almost IMPOSSIBLE to shift into, and I only replaced the pressure plate and it drove fine.

i had a 2nd synchro going out and i put gm synchromesh in it and it has almost completely quit, it only does it every once in a while. make sure you get the "modified" kind of synchromesh, there are two kinds, one will say modified
