If you are going with VG, you may as well go bigger, like LS1s. Or just go SR with bigger turbo.

    Yes LS1 power!

Don't do the VQ30 - TT that motor is just a pain in the butt...all VQs are tough to mod.

LS1 = That motor is sooo heavy. There are better V8's to swap.

Hmm there is lots of room! Stronger motor lighter shell = FTW

Just used to seeing the VGTT in a 300zx and it looks jam packed in there.

    Thanks for the pic.

    VG > VQ

the VG's have potential as well, and they don't even cost an arm and a leg, I'd much rather have a VG than an SR, they go for about the same price, but the swap is a lot more involved. At the end of the day the VG is going to cost you more, I think you need a custom driveshaft made, swap over a lot of stuff etc... but i'd much rather have that than an SR... with boltons, a fuel pump, and a tune you can make close to 400whp

That may be. But cost is also a factor, and a Caddilac engine can be built cheaper. Plus Caddilac motors are easy to come by. Thats all I'm saying, but everyone I ever hear he wants to do a V8 swap does an LS1. People need to think for themselves.

Edit: Also when I was talking about weight I may have been thinking about an LT1 not LS1.

You can get a caddy motor cheaper at a junkyard, but I can appreciate you being brand loyal.
