If you are going with VG, you may as well go bigger, like LS1s. Or just go SR with bigger turbo.
ls1,2, or 7. only other option would be a 2j!!!!! either way you can mod all you want and make anywhere from 350-1000 whp!![]()

the VG's have potential as well, and they don't even cost an arm and a leg, I'd much rather have a VG than an SR, they go for about the same price, but the swap is a lot more involved. At the end of the day the VG is going to cost you more, I think you need a custom driveshaft made, swap over a lot of stuff etc... but i'd much rather have that than an SR... with boltons, a fuel pump, and a tune you can make close to 400whp
That may be. But cost is also a factor, and a Caddilac engine can be built cheaper. Plus Caddilac motors are easy to come by. Thats all I'm saying, but everyone I ever hear he wants to do a V8 swap does an LS1. People need to think for themselves.Originally Posted by dazdp63
Edit: Also when I was talking about weight I may have been thinking about an LT1 not LS1.

You must have been thinking of the LT1.
