    Default obd2 dsm injector question

    obd2b car

has rc clips in already, the dsm 450 plug and play and are being driven without a resistor box. Will the ecu fry because of this. Does it need a resistor box to run 100%?

check the resistance w/ a multimeter. more than likely if this is on a honda you will fry the inj drivers on the ecu. dsm inj are low impedance (peak and hold) 2-3 ohm while obd1+ honda injectors are high impedance (saturated) 12 ish ohms.

I recently added the resistor box and the car wouldn't rev past 4k/. I changed ecu's and still the same problem, i even changed to precision 440's (saturated) and the car still won't rev past 4k.

    thanks for the reply

any cel? sounds like resistorbox install may have gone wrong. i would say ecu, but since you've changed it i would suspect the resistorbox install.

you didn't install the saturated inj while having the resistorbox also installed? if you did you could also burn out inj drivers b/c of too much resistance.
