SOHC or DOHC
I'm thinking of going with a B18C1 instead of my D16Y8.
If I keep the D16Y8 I'm going to have to pour a lot more money into to make it as good as I could get the B18C1.
I have some questions about the swap though.
What will and won't hook up?
What will I need to replace?
Will my p/s still work?
Will I need a new radiator?
Any info will be much appreaciated.
It is all about how much money you put into the job.
It is like me go cheap with the SR swap. Now it ends up without heat, A/C, etc, but the point is just you get what you paid for. You can make things to work with the right amount of money.

you can keep p/s and a/c, in fact, almost everything. just use mounts and brackets from a 99-00 Si.

Its a little odd with the GSR, see the easiest thing to do is use your original civic harness, you are in luck if you have an EX because that harness needs the least modification.
But some people say that in order to gain the full performance potential in a OBD2 GSR swap you need the GSR Harness, I do not know the truth to that, but its something that a few respectable people have said.
secondly, you are going to need a Powesteering pump from a 98+ Integra, and you get to keep powersteering.
You need a Delsol\CRV AC bracket to keep the AC
keep the civic radiator and condenser.
you are also going to need two mount brackets, rear 99 si Tbracket and Driverside Timing Mount Bracket.
and you are good to go.
