edit: i just don't get what is so ****ing magical about vtec. it is nothing but ingenuitive thinking being applied to and engine to gain the "have your cake and eat it too"

i guess thinking outside the box is amazing to some uneducated simpletons.
I never said it was on a GSR you dipsh!t. I just said there is one and I wanted it. Get your sh!t straight

Edit: Who said VTEC was that amazing? If you don't like VTEC that much then sell your RSX...I never said it was the almighty powerful and great VTEC, its just cool to have. It does give a significant power gain and yeah it is pretty smart. (ingenuitive isn't a word...) But you weren't the genius that created it were you? No, so stop acting like a smart ass and just give out straight info without the BS...Thank you and good day.

LOL at reading comprehension. so you would rather have a SOHC economy-based engine over a GSR because it "has more vtecs" ??
    Who knows?

Lol haha, yes I would rather have a SOHC economy-based engine over a GSR, not because it "has more VTECs"...its because it gets 58 mpg...Lol. Like I said, I'm poor. I need to save as much gas as I can. And it still makes as much power as a d16z6 so I think its alright...

58 mpg wouldn't be too bad. hell you'd at least be using it for the right reasons... unlike some geniuses around here.

Lol, yeah...With gas prices these days, it sounds like heaven.

I choose my motors for reasons...not cause everyone is doing it...or because it has more "VTAK" Lol.

damn i missed my chance on a rebuttal for this stuff. ninja edit slipped right by me.

but here goes anyways... RSX was sold back in april. ingenuitive was my spinoff of ingenuity, typed faster than i thought. it is straight info, straight from honda.

Bah...come on hondabuilder I expected better from you. If you want to argue symantics, iVTEC has 2 stages, because you've you got your VTC and then your standard VTEC.

LOLOLOLOL This thread is amazing. Vtec was created for a gas saver, power if you need it, gas saving under 4.5k

I thank you for creating this thread. Myself, and my dad, who knows NOTHING about vtec, are laughing almost un controllably.

well since you wanna argue sEmantics...

VTC is not a "stage" of vtec, is continuously varies the phase angle of the intake camshaft, therefore is a completely different mechanism that operates hand in hand with VTEC. iVTEC is nothing but a marketing name.

VTEC = Various Ticking Engine Components ....... duh.

I put VTWE cams in my Mazda (because the cams themselvs are made by the same company). It worked great. But they'll only work really good after i change my oil to VTEC enhanced oil. Regular oil does not work as well with engines that have VTECH. You must use Dynotech 62c05wv oil to get the most out of your VTECH.
