Default for honda civic with 17s. What tire size?

Rims are either 17x7 or 17x7.5 . Don't deal with honda stuff usually.. on my car i would run a 225 50 17 (if it was my nissan) but tirerack was saying 205 40 17. Do i want a different size or is that good? car isn't dropped it's a 2000 ex coupe

    Stick with 205/40/17 on a Honda/Acura.
