    Default b16 help!!!!!!

i just got a hatch with a ls/vtec and it came with a gsr throttle body and integra throttle cable. the set up sucked and the trottle cable ended up breaking. i replaced the tb with a b16 tb and got a eg throttle cable. i put all of the parts on and now im having a idle problem. the idle wont go under 2k rpms, i have checked the cable and the tb and i cant figure out the problem. if anyone could help that would be great. i have no clue what to do. not sure if the tb could be bad or what. someone help me please!!!! reps will be awarded to the people that help.

Theres a little screw thing that you can turn with a flat head on the throttle body. Its above the actual throttle, turn it clockwise to turn your idle down and see if that works...

sounds like a vacume leak in betwenthe intake mani and throttle body and also check to make surethethrottle body gasket is correct. if you wanna check you can get a can of intake cleaner while the car is running and spray it where the 2 parts mate all the way around if the idle drops or sputters then there is your problem. hope this helps oh and if this is the problem then you might want to open up that idle screw if its closed or turned down to low it will make starting a pain.

Had this problem come to me at my shop, what it was the cable was pulling the trottle open to make it rev high, take the cable off an it should ilde normal if it does then you need to adjust the cable either with the 2 nuts on cable they are 12mm or at the pedal, on the pedal, its a stud with a flat spot so you can put a flat head an turn it like your adjusting valves, an losen the nut its a 10mm.. hope this helps Joshua

what we had to do, is install a different bracket because it will not let us losen it due to the bracket was wrong, Joshua

Simple check... check how tight your new throttle cable is and adjust it accordingly. There's a little bracket with a nut on each side that allows you to tighten or loosen your cable. Try loosening it.

Fuck stance. Stance is for kids in skinny jeans with Justin Beiber haircuts. You don't need stance when you got swagger.
