Is spending 500$+ for a nitrous kit worth it on a stock block?that can prolly only withstand a 25shot? what do yall have running? or think about it.

i dont think its worth a 25 shot maybe a 75 shot
i have a dry setup and i started with a 35 that put me at 380 to the wheels and i have to get tuned for a 50 and 75. But the zex kit only took about an hour to install and in my case it was worth it
Your evo mechanic
anything you need just pm me
dont go nitrous happy when u get ir or u'll be walking every where..Originally Posted by 1NonlyAccord
Our stock can handle up to about 50 shots with colder plugs safely. If you want add some rods ands pistons. so you can do 200 shots, safely.
**** of your going to use nitrous, either go big or go home lol
Nitrous doesn't break parts. Horsepower breaks parts, and ignorant installation breaks parts.

Im running a 55 now used to have a 75 on my stock motor with zero problems and my friends accord, same year as yours, 4 cylinder SOHC has a 75 on the stock motor. No problems and he's been though 4 bottles now.

DOHC... wtf? That year never came in DOHC. BS.
Sorry man typo stupid keys are right next to eachotherOriginally Posted by WhiteAccord

dry is safer than wet to a certain extent IMO . . .Originally Posted by chrisdohck
ok ric how do u figuer that one, to me it was easier bc wen u spray a big shot and u dont have the extra fuel its bad but if u can add the extra fuel u wont risk blown somethingOriginally Posted by 1siccEJ2
Dry kits are easier/faster to install than a Wet kit but I prefer wet. A 50 shot on any motor should be safe as long as you have enough fuel, anything bigger then colder plugs is preferred and you'll want to start messing with timing or things could go KabOOm.
but yeah I think it's worth it, what else can put down a minimum of 20 WHP for $400?
that is true u really cant go wrong as long as u take nitrous seriously and dont go to crazy with it![]()

First of all using nitrous for intercooler spray does NOTHING (show me a dyno chart where they sprayed the IC & made power) and nitrous depending on what shot you're using should give you at least a MINIMUM of 25 WHP and can go up to a few hundred WHP. In MOST (98%) cases you can't beat HP:$ ratio with nitrous.
ok I never said it gave you hp on the i/c, but it will save your turbo... yeah its the quickest way to get a lot of power, but its not safe for the motor unless you have good internals... o, and glad you think I'm "ghey little man" grow upOriginally Posted by KevinT707

also, i was going by the hp shot he was talking about... not what you can get, just tryin to help the guy out so calm down dude...
by keeping everything cooler, the hotter a turbo gets (witch runs like 2-3 times hotter than your engine) the thinner the oil is witch in term can lead to a barring going out or complete loss of the turbo... and what do you mean if you know what your doing?? explainOriginally Posted by TS240
have you kids ever ran NOS?? ever had a car with it?? run a 75shot for a month then change your oil and see if you want to keep it. Eventually that **** is going to blow

your telling me this when these kids are sayin its SAFE to run a 80-100 shot on stock internals???
yes nos is the way to go for quick hp =)
I'd look to other mods to get that 25hp.
And it won't adversely affect the engine's life.Originally Posted by TRYMY4.0
ha, thats all i was tryin to say... think i had the i/c turbo thing backwards lol my bad hahahahahahahahah i durrOriginally Posted by V_Eight
I ran an 80 shot on my STOCK engine for a long time with no problems except for an injector freezing shut. That had nothing to do with the fact that my internals were stock. It had to do with the fact that I was stupid and didn't upgrade my injectors. That is not the nitrous's fault.Originally Posted by Brian*
WTF does being ASE certified have to do with nitrous? You know how to fix cars. Congratulations.
I have ran nitrous for over 9 years, so don't come at me talking like you can step to me about nitrous knowledge.

and yeah nitrous is fun but when your bottle is gone im still spoolin.think about it.
yes i am....
