Default 1991 240sx motor shut down problem

hey i have a little problem with my car shutting the motor. I could start the car up fine and take the key out and all but the motor is still on. Something if i am luck the motor shuts off but when i take the key out the accessory lights are still on meaning that the accessory are powder when the key is out.

    Wha?

It's still on or something? Does it idle after the key is out? And you go on to say, just after, that it shuts off.

I don't quite understand what you're trying to say... mind re-wording this a little? And a bit more punctuation.

Hope I'm not coming across as harsh; just want to help...

I'm no expert, but that sounds like a wiring problem.

that happened on a 280z turbo i tested once, i pulled the key out and it was still on lol.

think the guy said it had something to do with the lock cylinder thing.

just look at the wiring and see if anything is messed up

    ^ woot

definately sounds like you have a bad IGNITION SWITCH aka the electrical portion. not the lock cylinder where the key goes in.

pretty easy to fix, part's not that expensive.
