    Default i need help please

    my son has a 91 civic and his distributor went out so i got one from a friend and put it on and the car starts but then dies and you cant keep it running im not sure if the dist that i got is obdo or obd1 if this is the problem is there anyway to fix it or am i just going to have to get another one if you know anything that might help please lmk thanks.

    what color is the plug on the distirbutor? also, you checked and set the timing?

    thats one of the problems there was no plugs on the dist we cut the ones off of his dist and just matched the wires but it had two blue wires on the dist that was not on his dist so thats why im thinking it was obd1 instead of obd0 and as for the timing we put it right back like it was when we took it out and before the dist went out it was running fine so im not sure i guess im just going to have to buy a new one i just thought maybe i could fix this one but thanks for the help.
