Check engine light in 03 Acura RL
like the title says its an 03 RL and the check engine light came on I tested it and it had ERG valve insufficient flow two times for some reason so I replaced the ERG valve it wouldn't turn off so I turn it off with the tester and it didn't come on for about another 500 miles and then again and same codes any help would be useful thank you
it didnt come on for a while bc it had to go through a drive cycle and egr is one of the things that takes the longest to go through. i can almost guarantee you that the port on the intake are clogged up. theres actually a recall and a tsb for it but it has to be like 5 years or 100k miles or something like that. honda actually sells a kit for it where u drill out the port and put a tube into so that the exhaust enters deeper inside instead of clogging up the hole.
