    Default Rust Question??

My rear left quarter panel had apparently been is a small accident leaving a small dent before i owned the car (2 weeks ago). There is paint missing where the dent is on the wheel well lip forward the rear tire. Its the size of say a roll of dimes, and looks to be only surface rust. What should i do as far as trying to fix this before it creates more of a problem? should i just sand it down to bare metal and respray it? I've never had to deal with any form of rust on a car before and would like to hear from some of those that have been in this spot before. thanks

Yea man, all you have to do is sand it back down to bare metal, but make sure that there's no more rust, even a little but and just cover it with primer, or paint to keep it from re-rusting. That shit can get nasty
