    Default Honda Question

    My buddy just got a 97 Civic coupe with the d16 and an automatic. we have a buddy that has a totalled delsol with the vtec motor and 5spd. the car hasn't been stripped of anything so what we are woundering is if we go and get the del sol from him could we swap the motor and tranny and if we can what other parts do we need to aquire?

    so the swap is do able i guess right vtec delsol motor with 5 speed into 97 single cam civic i mean its been done i gues its not hard right?

    i am completely honda illiterate guys so let me clarify on a scale of 1-10 how hard is it to do this swap is this any diffrent from any other i guess its a b18 swap the auto to manual stuff definitely helped thanks for that but to do the engine swap what all is required that we cant get off of our donor car?

    yeah im the one with the civic. i mean it was only $500 but it runs and drives great. but it only seems like it has 2 gears with that tranny. c'mon its a 10 yr old car, i also am very honda retarted.
