    Default Steering column ?

Theoretically, to shorten a steering column you should be able to cut, shorten and weld back together. I'm just curious if anyone has tried or knows someone who has done this. I've looked at mine and it is an outer casing (sheet metal that is 2 pieces) and I'm assuming under that is the part that rotates.

you could technically do that... but why is the question? it is an outer tube, then the steering shaft on the inside, but it would be a pain in the ass for sure.

well, my dash is different and the steering column is too long. Just wondering if anyone knows of a better way or has done it.
