Uhhh...I don't think it is such a good idea to paint the reflector lenses black, then it won't reflect any light. If you still want the HID, do it right, do HID retrofit then you won't have any glare or any problem.

whoa. leave the chrome thing in there. paint it black it will reduce glare, but once again stock halogen non-projector housings are not made for HID bulbs.

painting the reflector lenses just means you wont have any shine at all.

hidplanet.com does a complete retrofit for 500 bucks using TSX projectors, Phillips HID bulbs, and Hella ballasts.

leave it to the pros, or it'll turn into a nightmare. Unless you're willing to put in all the work necessary, no compromises.

NO. Integra projectors are HALOGEN projectors. Output and cut off won't be good for HID. You need HID projectors to do HID retrofits.

I just went on hidplanet.com... and you're right, i couldn't find anything either.

hidplanet used to retrofit. I havn't been on their site in years, they're the folks who did the retro on my EG hatchback though.

...i don't know what to say. [foot in mouth]

Get a set of aftermarket projector headlights off eBay or wherever and a set of Audi TT or TSX projectors and do this retrofit:

i don't think you will have that glare as much, but also don't take off that shiny part of the bulb i think it plays an important role with the hids...

Of course the glares don't bother you because you sit in the car DUH. You are not the one who got blinded. But it BOTHERS people that drivings in front of you and in the opposite direction. Have some consideration!

It's nothing to do with glare, it's the quality of the output...it won't be sharp and defined when using a halogen lens. Then as mentioned before, since it's not as sharp then i will be blinding others.

If you're gonna spend the time and money on it why not do it right? Get a kit from nitro and some projectors from a wrecked oem HID car and swap and make your own retrofit.

I agree with speedminded, but OEM HID projectors only accept D2S HID bulbs. Plug and play kits are not real D2S, and they won't fit into the OEM HID projectors. As far as I know Nitro only sells plug and play kit, not real OEM D2S hid. If you use real OEM HID projectors, use OEM D2S hid bulbs and ballasts as well.
