Default Honda Civic Si Engine Mounts Problem

hey guys....i was at honda ther other day to pick up an oil filter and decided to get a free 40-point inspection and the tech told me the normal stuff like new tires..rotations..etc most of the stuff that i already knew.

but what i didn't know was that they said two of my motor mounts needs replacing. i asked them why and they said because they are cracked. Well i took a look at the mounts and the bracket itself isn't crack. so i didn't think much of it at the time.

But lately i have noticed some lost power and the engine not pulling as hard. I'm thinking it is the rubber oem bushions that are probably worn out. And when i turn i hear a slight rubbing noise which i think may be the rubber wearing out..Could that be the problem?

i'd appreciate any help. I was thinking of just getting a set of either Prothane or Energy Suspension Motor Mount inserts to fix the problem...is one better than the other? i was thinking of just upgrading to some avid mounts but i'm tight on cash at the moment and the inserts sound like a good affordable solution

You must be ragging the shit out of that car. Mine is a 94 that I autocross regularly in and the mounts are still on on it. double check your bushings.

if you can live with the cabin of the car shaking like crazy get the mount bushings, if not just get new mounts
