for a better answer i'd say that any good metal fabrication shop could do it, but you would want to bring them a spec sheet with all of the measurements beforehand so you don't get some 9" wide steelies with a -50mm offset

well basically it's putting the front lip on the back side and the back side on the front and you can widened as needed/wanted!
" really expensive steelies" lol...Money isn't really an object, having something that stands out and you can't buy directly is!
got tons of repect for the a3/a4 market, just too much bling..and want a a2 that really gets attention without crossing into that realm...

yeah i know exactly what you're wanting to do... just don't know of any fab shops specifically that have done it. i'd check with wheel wizard or other wheel repair shops, it's possible they would be able to do it.

If you want it, someone already makes it....
I know chromewheel.com does major mods to get 22.5" wheels from dump trucks to 22" for duallies. They remove the faces, mill 1/4" off the diam, widen the wheel, reweld, and refinish.
    Hope that helps.

I was gonna do the same thing to my dub, the place I found was stocktonwheel.com, they're out of cali. Its really not that expensive, I think it would of cost me between $500-700 total (price of steelies included) if I remember. Alot cheaper than getting a set from germany via tunershop

And yes, I've hit it!! That might be whats wrong with the beast now!! LOL
My vr6 is a 2.9L and the head is ported and polished, so no biggie on getting there..It's just finding the road to leg it out!!
